As an energy worker and channel, I am very aware of the “feel” of different energies. Feminine energy certainly has specific qualities that we are all familiar with – nurturing, loving, compassionate, inclusive, intuitive, creative, gentle, flowing, soft and many people have even believed the feminine energy as weak. One quality that is not usually associated with feminine energy is “strength” and that is where the Divine Feminine energy steps in.
What images do you conjure up when you hear the words “Divine Feminine”? Maybe Mother Mary, Mother Theresa or Joan of Arc. Or maybe a Goddess in a flowing gown – there have been many Goddesses honoured and revered in the world’s cultures, religions and spiritual practices. You not only can feel the energy of “strength” when you think about these powerful women, but you can also feel other amazing qualities like dedication, courage, wisdom, truth and power.
As we are all well aware, there is a great shift happening on our earth energetically and that shift is being facilitated by the anchoring of Divine Feminine energy through us (does not matter if we are in a male or female body) to Mother Earth. Being open to receive the Divine Feminine energy and letting it flow through our bodies is the key to creating peace on our beautiful earth and for all her beings.
Each time you feel the energy of compassion for something or someone; each time you have an intuitive feeling and follow it through; each time you create something beautiful; each time you live your truth against popular opinion or societal norms; each time you move through a fear whether it be your own or society’s in general, you are tapping into the Divine Feminine energy of “strength” that is being emanated to us from the unseen realms and the Beings who are present at this time to support our evolution to a conscious, peaceful world.
When you do any of the above, you are not only anchoring the Divine Feminine energy, you are emanating it from your being and that has profound effects on all who will feel it. Effects such as feeling loved and thereby being able to love more whole-heartedly; feeling supported thereby having more desire to support others; feeling acknowledged thereby being able to see the Divine in others. See how it goes – it is just energy and you get a choice as to what you tap into, just like changing the channels on the television or surfing the net until you find what feels good.
Over the last few decades, women have believed they had to take on masculine qualities to prove they were equal and had to work much harder, particularly in the work place, to prove it. In the mid-70’s, I worked for the Canadian government at a time when there was a great push and funding allotted for women moving into management and untraditional positions. I was the regional representative for the “Women’s Affirmative Action Committee” in Ontario and went to many meetings with both management and staff to implement changes in hiring practices and opportunities. As a result, the first woman conservation officer was hired in our District of Ministry of Natural Resources. It was not easy for her as the other officers were resentful at first, but she had courage, dedication, was committed to living her truth and desires, and she had inner strength.
Since then, there have been great strides made in the “feminist” movement and we see it all around us as traditional roles have changed. There are a lot more female police officers, firefighters, CEO’s and entrepreneurs, as well as more men taking on domestic roles. This has laid the groundwork (as well as all the peace and love movement of the “60’s”) for what is now happening energetically for all of us – we are creating a world that is more balanced, and that balance starts from within – it is the energy of our thoughts and beliefs about ourselves and others.
So as we move forward into the next 100 years of profound evolution of our species, it is the Divine Feminine energy that will (and is) supporting us to do so with grace, ease and strength.
