2011 celebrates the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day which has significance for every human being. The year and the anniversary alone hold a key number of 1’s. 1 signifies a new beginning, new creation and new energy. 1 also signifies becoming one with self and the inhabitants of this great planet. The feeling of being connected and part of something much bigger is becoming a conscious decision and reality. This is a time of great healing, influence, accomplishments and paradigm shifts for every woman.
Across the ages women were beset by a past without choices, limited by educational opportunities and being the centre of persecution for using talents and healing abilities. We have been challenged through our past classification as second rate citizens and automatically ranked as less worthy at birth. How exciting it is to see women more respected and moving beyond the great injustices. We now have a voice.
Over years of struggle, women have passed down generational experiences and beliefs that ‘suffering was part of life’. Life seemed to be something that was endured; it was one of sacrifice and serving. Childbirth often meant a death sentence and surviving meant that heart ache was inevitable with the high rate of infant mortality.
There are many great women in history that may not have considered when they were living just how powerfully their decisions and display of courage would touch and inspire those that followed them.
Today is a time where much has been unveiled to create a life of peace, love and fulfillment. The great women who have overcome great adversities, exhibited exceptional courage, educated themselves, and trusted enough to follow their heart, have paved the way for us.
It makes you proud to be a woman and excited to know that life is our creation and we are the holders of the keys to unlocking the past to free ourselves so we can move forward into a new dimension.
We now have the platform to let go of the past and step forward and become so much more. With the stirring of these creative forces, the energy of power and healing encases and touches our lives so that we may reach that same place to touch someone else’s heart and life.
Women can be strong and powerful and yet so loving, comforting and nurturing. Today there is still evidence of the struggle haunting some women who long to free themselves of the influence of their history. They long for the reality of true freedom and choice.
This journey has created a void in women’s hearts and souls. It has evolved women to find peace in themselves and to know that they are more than their past. Women have now found ways to retrieve their dignity, their self worth, unleash suppressed healing gifts of intuition, and many modes of healing abilities. We have taken the strength and courage from the past and directed that energy into expanding who we really are.
I invite you to join me March 22 on a journey of gaining wisdom, healing and releasing the blocks in your life for you to continue to move forward. There is more to achieve.
